Eating dinner with Rick's mom and dad who got to
visit right after the kids came home! This was David's
first birthday celebration dinner.

Christmas in May!

Helping Dad mow the lawn.

Naomi in the rocking horse that Grandma and Grandpa
bought for David for his birthday.
David LOVES his bath time~!
Here are a few more pictures of the past two weeks. The time is VERY short - in fact as I write this I can smell a very ripe diaper running around at my feet!
We are having a blast with six kids - this week was a little crazy with Corey graduating (I'll post pics later). The kids all had to sit at the school for hours Mon, Wed, and Fri nights - they all did great, though. They are learning to like more foods, but are still happiest with chicken, rice, spaghetti and watermelon. They also love Malto Meal. I think it's the closest to Ghana porridge.
We are getting on a schedule which is helping to settle things down a bit and give me individual time with each of them. David usually goes to bed at 8. Then I can spend about 30 min with Naomi, reading to her and talking to her (she loves to talk) and then I crawl into bed with her and we cuddle until she falls asleep. After that, we usually watch a movie with AnnaMarie and cuddle with her and she has popcorn every night. She thinks this is pretty cool. She goes to sleep between 9 and 10, depending on what we are doing.
We did have a little Christmas celebration in May. The kids knew that we had saved their stockings and a few presents for them - since we were sure they would be home by Christmas, we were all prepared for them. So - they opened their Christmas pajamas on "Christmas Eve" and we watched Christmas movies and read Christmas stories and then the next morning they opened a few presents and their stockings. It was great fun!
They also have discovered Cold Stone Creamery - their favorite is vanilla bean ice cream with gumballs.
The weather has been wonderful, so we spend a lot of time at the park. We've eaten lunch there many times now - so much fun. They love the beach, too, but can't believe how cold the water is here. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
AnnaMarie and David love Reggie, but Naomi doesn't like him too much. She puts pillows all around her so that he can't get to her, much to his dismay. He loves to lick them - especially once we put lotion all over them. He loves to like lotion off of bare legs.
We go to the pool every Sat. morning for family swim and the kids love this even though they shiver the entire time. We usually swim for about an hour and a half - this has been great bonding time!
Well - there is so much more I could say, but the diaper calls. I will try to post more regularly - there are so many funny things the kids do and say - I want to share them all with you.
More soon...
