Well - they postponed our court date until NEXT Friday! So - please pray for this and that it really does go through! The family who is adopting Apollos went to court today and their adoption went through without a hitch! Praise the Lord! This is good news for all of us who have yet to go to court - hopefully it will be this smooth for all of us, too! Sometimes I just go and sit in the kids' rooms and think about them and pray for them and wait. It really is like being pregnant (without the swollen feet)! Hayden got to spend a little time yesterday telling his class about the adoption and about Ghana and I think he feels pretty proud! Anyway - we sometimes get frustrated with the waiting, but we know that God's timing is PERFECT and we completely trust Him in this! Please pray for our children in Ghana - that God is preparing their hearts for a really big life change! We covet the prayers of all of our friends!
WOW! With tears in my eyes as this opens the emotions that Cindy and I went through 5 years ago now. I remember the what seemed like endless waiting! Then the "Call" Friday morning and had to be ready to travel be Monday evening. Three weeks before we were to bring our darling angels home! So many emotional highs and lows through the year of preparation. The blessings of being an adopted child of God! Lera would ask us in her broken English "Why me & Dasha?" When we finally figured out what she was really asking all I could say was that God chose us to be a family! Thanks for sharing this news with us!
