I just thought you all would like to see AnnaMarie's new hair style. My friend Lisa was at Beacon House for the last week and a half and she took some AMAZING pictures for me. She is a gifted photographer! These are of the "planting" process. She said it took three days to do her hair - and then AnnaMarie pulled it up into these little loops on the sides of her head! So funny! Isn't she a beautiful girl? I just miss her so much. I found out when I was in Ghana that when she first came to Beacon House she was literally starving because she had been giving all of her food to Naomi. They were being taken care of by an older couple who didn't have a lot of food to begin with, and AnnaMarie just gave all of her's to Naomi. She is truly a sweet, amazing girl! I can't wait to mother her - it's her turn to have a mommy and stop being one!

And this might sound funny - but being able to watch you (and Lisa) go through the process has allowed me to take the focus off my waiting... being able to see each step that you take, each step closer to bringing those three children home, allows me to relax in the thought that someday soon we will be right where you are - planning and preparing and waiting for our family to finally be together!
I would LOVE to teach you how to do extensions when you get the girls home. My girls LOVE their long braids, and get so many compliments on them. It's a great way to help the children feel good about themselves, when they look different than most of our community.
