National Adoption Day! We chose to complete out US adoption on National Adoption Day - Novmeber 20th. We filed all of our paperwork a few weeks ago and then, with about 30 other families, I think, went before the judge at the Whatcom County Courthouse and made finalized our adoption. This means that Annamarie, Naomi and David are now officially Crawfords. They will have US birth certificates and are US citizens. It was such a fun day - this is a picture of us in the courtroom right before we went before the judge. Thanks Carrie for all the work you did to make this day possible! It was amazing! Welcome to the US kids!
There was a big reception after the court proceedings - they had food and coloring and some speakers and even a balloon man. Notice Naomi's hat - so funny! They also gave each of the kids an adorable teddy bear - so soft and cuddly. It was so good to finish this final step in our adoption!

Revolve Tour. Last weekend Hannah, Annamarie and I went to the Revolve Tour in Portland, Oregon. This is a big Christian conference for teen girls. It's like Women of Faith for girls. They had speakers and music and drama. Some of it was over Annamarie's head, but she loved the music and it was great to have some time together just the girls. Here we are at PF Chang's eating lunch on our way to Portland.
Wrestling with Dad - this happens most nights that Dad is home. I call it "beat the poop out of Dad time." The kids love it - Rick thinks it was easier when he was in his 20's, but he's willing to go through it again because it is so good for the kids and for attachment. LOL!

Cuties in the kitchen.
Sweet David. He is getting his 2-year molars - poor baby. He's getting so big - his pajamas are 2T! He's so much fun - a good baby who is happy most of the time. We just adore him - I think he gets tired of all the kisses, but you really can't help it!
Here Naomi was "teaching" Dad a song. He would play a tune and she would make up the words as she went along. I wish I could remember some of the words - they were nonsense words but really funny. She's a riot! She was even telling him where to put his fingers for the chords. I think the song was about princesses!
Revolve Tour again. These are Annamarie's friends Ava and Ali. They had just come back from a swim in the hotel pool with Hannah and the four of them were on their way over to Wendy's for dinner in their pajamas. They had so much fun!
Annamarie finally gets her sno-cone. She had one this summer and has wanted one ever since - they had them at the Revolve Tour and she was so excited. Here she is eating with Hannah - they had a great time together!
Princess Naomi!

Cheryl...what a GRAND blog post! THe pics were so great! I loved loved loved being able to be in the court room with your family and the two other BH families on the 20th. It caught me off guard a few times to think of the magnitude of each familes GOD sized story represented in the room. Each one is one of fighting the enemy and his desire to destroy kids and keep them from forever familes...yet, each one has a VICTORY that shouts God's power and the glory of His kids being obedient to the call to adopt! BLESSED is an understatement! Your family is beautiful....but God's love in your is even more GRAND to see in action!
