This picture is what is on my computer screen - whenever I turn it on I can see my whole family! I can't wait until we are in a picture together, hugging and cuddling with each other! They feel so far away from us right now!
Update for today - we will not be able to go on the 10th. Just too much that needs to happen in Ghana before we go. We need to get AnnaMarie's passport, get a Visa appointment, get the Visa, and schedule a time that we can travel up to Northern Ghana (Bolgatonga) to meet with the family and the village leaders. This is something we will do while we are in Ghana and we have to take a guide with us when we do this, so everything has to be scheduled and this can be tricky. So - I am trying VERY hard to be patient. Please pray for me in this. I completely and totally trust God and His timing - it's not that. It's just that I was with these kids for a week and loved on them and hugged and kissed them and wiped away their tears and I miss them SO MUCH! I know I keep on saying that - it's just so heart wrenching! I have no contact with them at all and this is the hardest part. I want to talk to them and tell them that we will be there soon and that we ARE coming back. I'm sure they are doing WAY better than we are - LOL!
I've been told that David is crawling all over the place, so Rick and I have begun to "child-proof" our house again. I thought those days were over! Ha! I've crawled around on the floor to see what he will see and there are all sorts of things a curious little boy could get into!
We are trying to decide what to do about Christmas. I told the girls that I would leave the Christmas tree up and I would like to, we just want to do what is best for them. It might be better for them to come into the "normal" Crawford home...who knows. My main problem is that I told them we would leave Christmas up for them and I don't want to change that without talking to them. We'll see...good thing we have an artificial tree this year!
Thanks again everyone for your prayers!
Cheryl,
ReplyDeleteYou probably don't remember me, but I was in the youth group at Fairfax. I found your blog through Merideth Hedges. It has been so fun to see your kiddos grown up and so encouraging and exciting to read about your new little one's.
God bless you in this process. I hope it's over soon and you have those precious kiddos in your own home before you know it!
God bless,
Stacey
For our trip to Bolgatanga we hired a driver with a 4x4. I can get you the name and number of our Accra travel agent, if you'd like. He can line up everything for you (driver, car, hotel, etc...). We LOVED Alex, our driver. He was GREAT with the kids (and us).
ReplyDeleteWill continue to pray for passports and visas. So sad!
I'd say ... keep the tree up, since you promised. Good thing it's an artificial tree.
Blessings
Laurel :)
Hey Cheryl
ReplyDeleteI'm SOOOOOOOOO SORRY ...
I know you know, but just wanted to tell you that I understand your HEARTACHE and disappointment ... ohhh the DAY when we THROW A PARTY when ALL of our kids are home (I just decided, I think we'll throw one for any Ghana kids that want to come :)))!!!
I'm praying for ALL of the passports ...
Hard decision about the tree ... the one thing that I can tell you is that your kids DID have an AMAZING Christmas celebration at BH!! I saw it first hand, and it was only half of it!!! There is also something too that our waiting kids might be doing better than we are ... at least I'm sure that is true for me, with both Ella and Kody ... :)
What WONDERFUL THREE JEWELS you have coming home!!
Blessings IN HIM
Maria
