December Snow!

Happy December! We are enjoying a snow day - one of my favorite days! It has been snowing all day and is SO beautiful! I have always wanted a white Christmas and we may actually have one this year. I wish AnnaMarie, Naomi and David were here - they would just be amazed! When I was with them, I explained to them all about snow and even had some video footage of snow falling from last winter. They were so excited when I showed that to them. I told them that you can see your breath in the air when it was cold and they didn't know what to think of that! AnnaMarie said, "Oh Wow!" Hayden had a friend spend the night last night and they have been playing in the snow all day - we have a GREAT sledding hill!

Anyway - adoption update! As of right now, we have plane reservations for January 10th. Since we purchased an adoption fare, we can change the date as many times as we need to. The earliest we could be going is the 10th. That is assuming that the passport for AnnaMarie comes through before that and we can get a Visa appointment for January 5th or 6th. If that happens, then we will have a Visa on Friday, the 10th - we will arrive in Ghana on the 11th. If not, I will just move the reservation to the next week and so on until we can bring them home. So - please keep on praying for that passport!

Hayden and Johnny sledding down our smaller hill - Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I was just sent a picture of the girls all dressed up for their Christmas party at Beacon House. They look so pretty in their fancy dresses! I can't post it because there are other Beacon House kids in the photo, but just wanted to add that they look so sweet. Someone made them all Christmas clothes - they were being measured when I was there in November. They are having goat for Christmas dinner - someone donated a whole goat. That is a meat that we don't eat here, but is very common in Ghana. The kids don't get a lot of meat, so I'm sure they are very excited about it! That's all for now! Bye!
